Archaeological Museum of Casentino

The museum is divided into six rooms and gathers material from the archaeological excavations of Casentino to illustrate the history of the valley from the prehistoric period to the Middle Ages. Each room deals with different themes and Casentino places that have been found of particular archaeological interest.
The project and the exhibition were curated by the Archaeological Group of Casentino (G.A.C.), under the direction of the Superintendence of the Archaeological Heritage of Tuscany, who thus wanted to summarize all the research carried out in almost forty years of life of the association (for information about the association and its activities see www.casentinoarcheologia.org)
