Moncioni is part of the municipality of Montevarchi, in the province of Arezzo, located at 529 meters above sea level located on the hills of Chianti. It is now known for the production of an olive oil very valuable. Around the country, within the grounds of a private villa is the Pinetum, a botanical garden designed by Joseph Gaeta that hosts a wide variety of exotic conifers.

The actual fraction of Moncioni is all that remains of the village surrounded by the walls of the Castle Moncione, of which there are only a few vestiges, while Moncioni itself would today’s San Marco.
